Sidewalk Snippet ~ {9/17/12}

A had not been around for at least a month. It was a nice break. We have film of A screaming at the clinic doors. A chases clients to their cars, even if they are parked a couple of blocks away. It was really much quieter in front of the clinic doors during the break.

A client pulled up and parked by the curb. A immediately started talking to them about “make a better choice.” Then she went on to say, “When I was your age, I had two abortions. Then I found Jesus and made a better choice. My life has been really good since I have chosen to follow Jesus. I can tell by the car you are driving, my life is better than yours.”

The companion and I  exchanged looks and then just ignored A as we walked to the clinic. All I could think of was the antis telling us, ‘we aren’t here to judge.’ Really?

    • The Arbourist,

      Thank you for my chuckle for the day. No, it isn’t. The real name begins with A. I have an aversion to publishing their real names and routinely use their first initials. The other escorts can always identify who they are. But in this case, your option fits.

      • I read this blog and I have nothing but respect and admiration for you. Thank you for doing what you do and sharing your perspective on what it is like to be on the front lines, it is a valuable resource and is making a difference.

      • The Arbourist,

        Your kind words really are appreciated. We try to share what it is like, but to hear we make a difference is extremely nice.

        Thank you,
