Sidewalk Snippet ~ {9/3/12}

The client and companions had already moved their car from the AWC lot because the staff from AWC would not leave them alone. They were parked in the lot across the street.

We were able to get them inside the clinic when the doors opened with little interference from antis. Then they had to return to their car for an ID.

M started following them immediately. She continued talking to them about, “Don’t let her do this,” all of the way to their car.

One companion unlocked the car door but forgot to unlock the passenger door for the second companion. “Unlock the door,” from the second companion was met with, “Disrespectful,” from M. M quickly followed it up with, “I can tell you are having trouble with this decision by the way you are talking to each other.”

It couldn’t be the one disrespectful was M? It couldn’t be the stress of having a group of antis following them, all talking at the same time, made communicating in a minimum of words necessary? It couldn’t be the stress of having strangers heap judgment and blame on them could cause them to be nervous? It couldn’t be the comments judging even their relationship without knowing them at all would effect them?

We walked back to the clinic with M trailing beside us; talking the whole time.
