meet our newest scariest Dave

As a federal FACE charge still looms for another Dave from our sidewalk, we are confronted by this newer, scarier, more aggressive Dave. This Dave  may have been one of the first protesters to wear a vest similar to our escort vests when he first showed up over a year ago.  we did not see him for a long time but recently he started coming regularly.

He has a tendency to yell at clients on the side walk and through the doors.  He personifies a child yelling at it’s parents.

He is our new one to watch out for.  I doubt his mental stability and fear what he may be capable of.  He reminds me of Army of God folks, or Westboro Baptist Church.  so. much. hate.

Paul Hill and Scott Roeder were clinic protesters too.  How long will it be acceptable for this aggression and harrassment to fall under the First Amendment?

About wench

Wench is based in Louisville KY. What started as a Selfcare Health Education Collective in 2005 has bloomed and flourished and exploded and re-rooted and bloomed again and again. We now wench (verb) all over the US and beyond. Many are still in KY fighting for abortion access, repro and racial justice, and bodily autonomy for all.

  2. Thank you for the film and post. This Dave is scary. We are gathering information and film on him. The aggression has been escalating every week. This Saturday he was jumping so he landed on both feet with a loud noise in front of clients while yelling at them. It worked to startle the clients. I agree: “How long will it be acceptable for this aggression and harrassment to fall under the First Amendment? “

  3. I always find it unbelievably creepy when these idiots refer to women they don’t even know as “mom.” I’ve seen the same thing outside of other clinics. Never-mind that being pregnant doesn’t automatically make someone a mom, even if someone IS a mom, unless she’s YOUR mom, it’s never appropriate to call her that. I guess when they’re part of a movement all about denying women human rights, they can’t be bothered to respect basic rules of social etiquette.

And that guy saying stuff as if he was a somehow sentient and verbal fetus is just ridiculous. “We’re sharing a body right now,” is not only a revolting thing to say to a stranger, but it’s not even true in the relationship of pregnancy. A woman’s body is NOT shared, is NOT public property. A woman’s body is 100% hers 100% of the time. If she lets it be used, that’s her decision. But it is still her own.
