pledge-a-picketer 2011

We were really lucky this year.  The day before Mother’s Day (2nd Sunday) coincided with the Kentucky Derby (First Saturday, and a holiday that changes our fair city in an extreme way.) That means the clinic was closed and we did NOT have to escort folks through a mob of hundreds of protesters like most years.

We still expect high turnouts for the day before Father’s Day, like we had in 2009 and 2010.

And once again, we want to turn high protester numbers into a positive thing for choice!

Last year our lovely supporters pledged over $4,000 for the KY A Fund!!!  This year donations will benefit the Clinic Escort Legal Defence Fund!

Here’s how it works: pledges are collected leading up to the day before Dad’s day.  On the morning of that day we will count the anti-choice demonstrators that come, and for each one of them who turns out to bully, shame and judge people, we raise money!

Folks can pledge anything they want to. It can be a dime or a quarter per anti, or 20 bucks per hundred, or a flat donation of any size. If you would like to pledge, please email
